If you look at a map we are in the very center of the Ozarks surrounded
by mountains covered with National Forests. We have two major rivers, the
Buffalo and the White that offer white water adventure (Buffalo) and world
class trout fishing (White.) Several other smaller rivers and many large
creeks and streams make the options almost unlimited for floating and fishing.
Mountain View, Arkansas
A few minutes to the east is Mountain View, often called the “Folk
Music Capitol of the World”. Mountain View is home to several music
theaters and stage shows and the Courtsquare is famous for impromptu live
music and front porch style jam sessions.

Folk Center
You can experience the heritage and history of the Ozark Mountain culture
at the Ozark Folk Center State Park just outside of Mountain View. You’ll
hear more live mountain music performed and see pioneer style artisans
and craftsmen using the tools and skills that have been handed down for generations.
Speical workshops, festivals and other events are held throughout the year.
Blanchard
Springs Caverns—Syllamo Mountain Bike Trail
Also nearby is Blanchard Springs Caverns, a magnificent limestone cave system
operated by the National Forestry service. Blanchard Springs offers easy
guided tours and more challenging “wild cave” tours.
If mountain
biking is your thing the Syllamo Mountain Bike Trail system is considered
one of the best in the nation with a variety of trails ranging from easy
to extremely challenging!

But your visit may be just as enjoyable if simply relax and enjoy our country
estate and our lovely community of Leslie. Schedule a massage, manicure or
pedicure. Visit downtown Leslie and browse through several antique shops
and a pottery shop. Also nearby is the Ozark Heritage Arts Center which includes
a theatre, museum, and an art gallery with monthly exhibits. You must visit
Serenity Farm Bakery and there is an excellent cafe on Main Street.
The community of Leslie is well known for it’s hospitality towards the senior traveler and we are developing a senior oriented activity area with a croquet field and walking trail and more activities planned. All of this is within easy walking distance of the Killebrew House Bed and Breakfast in Leslie, Arkansas.
